Showing how I am able to add water to my incubators during lockdown (last 3 days when conditions are crucial)
Opening the incubator during the last 3 days should only be done with GOOD reason. Really, ask yourself why am I opening this incubator? If you don’t have a critical good reason to open it, don’t. Add water through tubing. Here is how I do it. I am showing how I add water to my Brinsea Eco 20 machines and how I add water to my Little Giant still air incubator that I use as a hatcher.
ALSO, check out my very 1st Onagadori Phoenix Chicken. This is a rare breed and it is a non-molting line that grows really, really long feathers. Up to 20 feet although that is not typical. Onagadoris in the USA are usually not pure. I had been reading about them for quite some time. I did want some but didn’t think I would get any because of the price of good quality stock. I saw these eggs on the auction block locally and was able to get 12 eggs for only $8. The guy selling them is also hatching some. I think he just had too many for his incubator. The first to hatch pipped on day 17, hatched on day 18 so I had to lock the machine down immediately and add water. Didn’t get a chance to candle the twins but I will be having an update on them. Also I have more twin potential eggs in the other incubator… 3 doubles actually
